Duty to keep register

The Senior Transport Officer or officer in charge at a Department of Transport or municipal authority of a district in which a vehicle or trailer is registered shall keep a register of bills of sale registered under this Act, in a prescribed form, and shall therein record– (a) the name, residence and occupation of the person by whom the bill of sale was made or (b) in a case where it was made or given by a person under or in the execution of process, the name, residence and occupation of the person against whom that process was issued; (c) the name of the person to whom or in whose favour the bill of sale was given; and (d) any other particulars evidenced on the bill of sale presented for registration or as are prescribed under this Act.
