Giving false information

Any person who, in or in connection with an application for a motor vehicle licence or the registration of a motor vehicle, or a Belize Driving Licence or the endorsement of such a licence, or any change or correction in a motor vehicle licence or the registration of a motor vehicle or in giving any information lawfully demanded or required under this Act or any regulations made thereunder, makes any statement which to his knowledge is false or in any material respect misleading, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of two hundred and fifty dollars or to imprisonment for six months, or to both such fine and term of imprisonment.
