Verification and settlement of claims

(1) On receipt and verification of the claims, the Financial Secretary shall, without delay, and with the prior approval of the Minister of Finance, enter into negotiations with the claimants for the payment of reasonable compensation within a reasonable time. (2) In default of determination by agreement, the compensation payable under this Act shall be determined by the Supreme Court (hereinafter referred to as “the Court”) as hereinafter provided.
