Prohibition on possession of listed equipment

(1) Subject to sub-section (2) of this section and section 25 of this Act, a person shall not possess, import, export, manufacture, assemble, disassemble, operate, sell, or purchase any listed equipment. (2) Sub-section (1) of this section shall not apply to any authorised officer or any other person who possesses, imports, manufactures, assembles, operates, or purchases listed equipment under the authority of a certificate of exemption issued to him by the Council under section 25 of this Act.
