Standard procedures for air compressors

(1) The manager shall ensure that procedures for the safe operation of a steam power or air compressor plant are prepared in writing, and are communicated to and made available to the persons operating and maintaining the plant. (2) All steam power and air compressor plants shall conform to an internationally acceptable standard. (3) An air compressor driven by a prime mover exceeding 30 kilowatts, that is lubricated by oil and discharges to a closed system at a pressure greater than 100 kilopascals, shall have temperature shutdown devices installed at the high pressure discharge pipe.
