Offence and penalty

Every person who, having located a claim– (a) alters the date of location on any location board; or (b) re-locates such without having previously obtained the permission in writing of the Inspector, commits an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500) or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or to both.
