Decisions and Order

(1) In respect of the application made on October 1, 2009, by the Belize Water Services Limited (BWSL) for adjustments to the approved Tariffs, Fees and Charges in its Full Tariff Review Proceeding (FTRP) Submission for the Full Tariff Period (FTP) of April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2015, the Public Utilities Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission) hereby makes the following Decisions and Order– (a) The Commission hereby approves the Rate Setting Methodology (RSM) contained in Schedule 1, which is to be applied over the Full Tariff Period (FTP); (b) The Commission hereby approves the Regulated Asset Value (RAV) for each Annual Tariff Period (ATP) of the Full Tariff Period (FTP) as contained in Schedule 2, which is to be applied over the Full Tariff Period (FTP) as contained in Schedule 2, which is to be applied over the Full Tariff Period (FTP); (c) The Commission hereby approves a Target Rate of Return (RORATP)) of 10.0% and a lower limit for Rate of Return (RORLL) OF Water Industry 183 8.0%, for each Annual Tariff Period (ATP) of the Full Tariff Period (FTP), subject to the Rate Setting Methodology (RSM) approved in Decision (a) above; (d) The Commission hereby approves the Tariff Basket Revenue (TBR) and the Return, Depreciation, Operational Expenditure (OPEX), Taxes/Licence Fees, Annual Corrections (AC) and RSA Recovery Components of the Tariff Basket Revenue (TBR), and other Income and Forecast Consumption for each Annual Tariff Period (ATP) of the Full Tariff Period (FTP) as contained in Schedule 3; (e) The Commission hereby approves the Tariffs to be applied during each Annual Tariff Period (ATP) pf the Full Tariff Period (FTP) as contained in Schedule 4, and hereby orders the Belize Water Services Limited (BWSL) to levy the said Tariffs in respect of the Water and sewer services it is licensed to provide.
