Unlicensed drilling

(1) Any person who drills a well, or causes a well to be drilled without a licence commits an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars, or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year, or to both such fine and term of imprisonment. (2) Whoever carries out drilling activities on a professional basis without having obtained a drillers’ licence in pursuance of the provisions of section 41 of this Act commits an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars, or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
