Reservation of water

(1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section, the Minister may, on the recommendation of the Authority, by Order published in the Gazette, reserve any water from being taken or used. (2) For the purpose of subsection (1) of this section, water may be reserved for any of the following purposes, (a) to enable investigation on the suitability of water for a specified purpose; (b) to provide for water supply for a waterworks; (c) irrigation; (d) power system; (e) project; (f) use of the Government; (g) any other purpose which the Authority may National Integrated 62 (3) Unless the Order specifies otherwise, it shall not be unlawful to use any reserved water for domestic use.
