Authority may order special measures to safeguard ground water resources

During the construction of a well, if, (a) water is encountered in an aquifer, (b) water from a water table or lower aquifer flows from an upper aquifer to the lower and in the opinion of the Authority, this is likely to prove detrimental to the ground water resources of the area, the Authority may by Order require the owner of the well to take special measures specified in the Order, to prevent the encounter or the flow of water to the aquifer.
