Interconnected, surface and underground water

(1) The Authority may deal with surface water and ground water as one source of supply if, in its opinion, the surface water and ground water are so interconnected as to constitute one source of supply. (2) In any area declared pursuant to section 40, the Authority may, if it is of the opinion that it is in the best interest of the management of the water resources of Belize, deal with all licences under this Act to abstract and use water from an inter-connected source of supply on the basis of equality of standing before the Authority.
