General functions of licensee

It shall be the duty of all licensees to, (a) comply with the policy of the Government in relation to water abstraction; (b) maintain and develop any waterworks or other property relating thereto which may be under the charge of a licensee under this Act; (c) adhere to prescribed standards of performance, and standards for safe, adequate and reliable of augmentation, distribution and use of water (d) maintain, improve or extend any water mains or other pipes as are necessary for securing that a licensee is or continues to be able to meet its obligations under this Act.
