Interpretation

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires“Act” means the Pesticides Control Act; “Board” means the Pesticides Control Board established under section 3 of the Act; “certified user” or “pesticide applicator”, in relation to a restricted pesticide, means– (a) a person engaged in the use of restricted pesticides as a trade or profession who applies to the Board for a licence to use such pesticides and satisfies the requirements of Schedule III hereto; as read in relation to the nature of his use of such pesticides as determined from Schedule I hereto; or Schedule III. Schedule I. (b) a person using, or directly supervising the use of, pesticides in the course of his regular employment, who satisfies the requirements set out in Schedule IV hereto, and applies to the Board for a licence to use such pesticides; Schedule IV.
