Prohibited pesticides

(1) Pesticides not registered as required in section 6 of this Act or listed under section 8 shall be prohibited pesticides and accordingly shall not be brought into or used in Belize, 15 Provided that the Board may allow a person who has in his possession or control any prohibited pesticide on the date of commencement of this section, or who had contracted to import any prohibited pesticide prior to such commencement, to dispose of such pesticide within a period not exceeding six months of such commencement in such manner as the Board shall direct. (2) A list of prohibited pesticides is given in the Fourth Schedule to this Act and this Schedule may be amended or replaced from time to time by order, by the Minister in consultation with the Board.
