Prices for livestock

(1) The prices payable for cattle intended for slaughter or export, shall, from time to time be determined by negotiation between the Association and such company or companies as may be approved by the Minister under subsection (2) of this section. In the event of a failure to arrive at a price by negotiation, the matter shall be referred by the Association to the Commission for arbitration. (2) The Minister shall, by Order published in the Gazette, approve such company or companies incorporated in Belize as 18 Meat And Livestock are engaged in the meat and livestock industry with which the Association is to enter into negotiations as provided for in subsection (1) of this section.
