Notifiable animal disease

(1) Bovine brucellosis is a notifiable animal disease in Belize declared under section 35(a) of the Act. (2) For the purpose of these Regulations, the Authority shall inform the OIE within twenty-four hours and subsequent weekly reports of the following in regard to bovine brucellosis– (a) first occurrence in a zone or district in Belize; (b) re-occurrence which follows a report declaring the end of an outbreak; (c) sudden unexpected increase in distribution, incidence, morbidity, and mortality.
