Assessment of the risk category

(1) The Authority shall assess the risk of BSE on the basis of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code published by the OIE and determine the risk status. (2) For the purpose of subregulation (1), the following country risk categories defined by the OIE is accepted– (a) negligible BSE risk; (b) controlled BSE risk; (c) undermined BSE risk; (d) any other risk category recognised by the OIE in applying the Terrestrial Animal Health Code.
