Notifiable animal disease
Belize Agricultural Health Authority (Prevention, Control And Eradication Of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) Regulations, reg. 5 · Revised Edition 2020
(1) BSE is a notifiable animal disease in Belize.
(2) A person who suspects or has diagnostic evidence of the presence of BSE in cattle, whether the cattle are alive or dead,
shall notify the Authority within twenty-four hours of the suspicion or evidence of BSE.
(3) The Authority shall report every positive case of BSE to the OIE.
