Offence and penalty

If any person contravenes or fails to comply with any of the provisions of these Regulations or to comply with any directions given thereunder, such person commits an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year, or to both such fine and period of imprisonment.
