Arrival notification

It shall be the duty of the Comptroller of Customs through a customs officer to– (a) notify promptly the Authority of the arrival of any restricted article or any other article or material regulated by this Act or any Regulations made thereunder at the place of arrival; and (b) not to release or dispose of the material or article unless so authorized by the Authority or any designated officer of the Authority.
