In this Regulations“fisheries waters” means the waters of the exclusive economic zone, territorial sea and internal waters as defined in section 2 of the Maritime Areas Act; and “gill net” means a wall or curtain of rectangular netting constructed from mono-or multi-filament nylon or natural or synthetic fibres typically arranged in a diamond or square mesh, which may or may not be suspended vertically in the water column between floats attached to the top edge and weights attached to the bottom edge, or attached to poles.
