Regional cooperation in fisheries

(1) The Minister may enter into arrangements or agreements with other states or with any competent organization with the purpose of promoting regional co-operation in 38 Fisheries Resources (2) Arrangements or agreements referred to in sub-section (1) may provide for, among other things, the harmonization of systems for collecting statistics, carrying out surveys for assessing the state of the fishery resources, harmonization of licensing procedures regarding foreign fishing vessels, and co- operation in enforcement measures in respect of foreign fishing
