Species requiring special measures

(1) The Minister, on the recommendation of the Council, may declare by Order published in the Gazette, that a specific area, fishery, stock, or species of fish be closed to fishing in order to– (a) prevent further depletion; (b) promote recovery and ecosystem services; (c) protect critical habitats.
