Licenses - Period of validity

(1) Subject to the provisions of this section and unless otherwise prescribed in accordance with this Act, every license issued or renewed under this Act shall be valid for a period of one year, or such lesser period as may be specified. (2) A license issued or renewed under this Act shall only be valid for the species of fish, the type of fishing gear or method of fishing, or such other activity in accordance with this Act, as may be specified in the license. (3) A license issued under this Act may not be transferred. (4) A high seas fishing license is void in the event that the vessel in respect to which it was granted is no longer entitled to fly the Flag of Belize.
