Construction of references

(1) In every Act, rule, regulation, order or other instrument having effect as part of the law of Belize, or in any grant, permission or other document, issued under the Crown Lands Act, R. E. 1980-1990, any reference to “Crown land” shall be read and construed as a reference to “national land” as defined in this Act. (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Crown Lands Act, R. E. 1980-1990 by this Act, all rules and regulations made under that Act in so far as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act shall continue to remain in force until amended or repealed by Rules and Regulations made under this Act.
