Neglect to pay rent a determination of tenancy in certain cases

Where the tenant of any building held by him as a tenant from month to month or weekly at a rent which does not exceed the rate of ten dollars per month or two dollars and fifty cents per week, as the case may be, fails to pay the rent due within seven days after the day on which it becomes due and payable, the failure shall for the purpose of enabling the landlord to recover possession be deemed a determination of the tenancy, and the landlord may proceed to recover possession of that building under this Act. $14,400 per
