Section 1

Housing and Town Planning [CAP. 182. 5 Ch. 148. (Sections 41 and 42) [1st January, 1964.] WHEREAS by section 41 of the Housing and Town Planning Act hereinafter referred to as the “Act” it is provided that the Central Authority may by resolution decide to prepare a scheme with respect to any land within the area specified in the resolution; AND WHEREAS the Central Authority on the 13th day of July 1962 by resolution decided to prepare a scheme for the town of Dangriga; AND WHEREAS notice of the said resolution was published in the Gazette and in the Belize Times and the Belize Billboard on the 21st day of July 1962, and on the 28th day of July 1962; AND WHEREAS the Central Authority duly prepared and submitted the said scheme to the Governor in Council; AND WHEREAS under the provisions of section 42 of the Act the Governor in Council approved the said scheme as set out in the Schedule hereto and under the provisions of section 54 of the Act, approved the assignment by the Central Authority to the Dangriga Town Council of the duties and functions of the Central Authority in relation to the enforcement and carrying out of the said scheme; NOW THEREFORE IT is hereby declared–
