Standard of proof

(l) Every question of fact arising in any proceedings under this Act (other than criminal proceedings) shall be decided on a balance of probabilities. (2) In any proceedings under this Act (other than criminal proceedings) including proceedings by way of appeal, the court may receive such evidence as it thinks it whether it is otherwise admissible in a court of law or not.
