Rights of parties obtaining licence

The parties who intend to marry, or either of them, may require that the licence shall authorise the solemnisation of the marriage, in respect of which application for the licence is made, by any marriage officer by whom that marriage could have been solemnised if banns thereof had been published under this Act, or by the Registrar General.
