Rebuilding or repair of registered building

(1) Whenever a registered building is being reconstructed or repaired, the Registrar General, on application in writing made to him for that purpose, may direct that banns of matrimony may be published in any church or other building in the same marriage district which he in writing nominates, for such period as he may think fit pending the re-opening of the registered building for the performance of divine service. (2) During the whole of any such period that church or building, for all purposes relating to the publication of banns of matrimony, shall be deemed and taken to be the registered building under reconstruction or repair.
