Investigation

Upon receipt of a report on an alleged incident of child abuse, the Department or the Belize Police Department, as the case may be, shall forthwith proceed to the home, establishment or other address where the alleged child victim is said to be, and conduct all such interviews as may be necessary to determine whether such child has suffered any child abuse, and also to assess the safety of the child and the need to place the child into 10 Families and Children
