Registration certificate

(1) Where an alien has complied with the provisions of section 4 to the satisfaction of a registration officer such officer may, if he thinks fit, issue a certificate of registration. (2) The fingerprints of an alien to whom a certificate of registration is issued under this Act shall be taken and shall be included in the certificate of registration. (3) A certificate of registration issued under sub-section (1) shall be in the form prescribed by the Minister and shall contain a photograph of such alien, the particulars set out in Schedule I and the alien’s fingerprints. Schedule I. (4) An alien to whom a certificate of registration is to be issued under the provisions of this Act shall, before the issue of such certificate, pay the prescribed fee in the prescribed manner. 7
