District Registrars of births and deaths

(1) The Solicitor General shall be ex officio Registrar of Births and Deaths for the Belize Judicial District and each magistrate for each judicial district shall be an ex officio Registrar of births and deaths for his respective judicial district. (2) The functions of the Registrars shall include, notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any other law but subject to the other provisions of this Act, the issuing of birth and death certificates in respect of births and deaths occurring in their respective districts, in accordance with this Act and any rules made thereunder.
