Allowances

Supervisors and Enumerators shall be entitled to receive such remuneration for their services in the performance of their duties in connection with the taking of the census at such rates as the Minister may approve. They shall receive transport, travelling and subsistence allowances in accordance with the rules for the time being applicable to public officers, Census 9 provided that Enumerators shall only be paid travelling and subsistence allowance if in the opinion of the Census Officer special circumstances exist which warrant the payment of such allowances.
