Maternity leave

(1) All female Officers are entitled to the grant of maternity (2) All applicants for maternity leave shall be– (a) submitted at least ten weeks prior to the officer's expected date of delivery; and (b) accompanies by Social Security forms MB and SM2 (3) An officer who fails to observe the requirement of this Regulation and who applies for maternity leave after the date of delivery shall be subjected to disciplinary action. (4) An officer may take vacation leave which is due to her at the expiration of her maternity leave. (5) Maternity leave shall not be considered as sick leave and sick leave shall not be granted as a substitute for maternity (6) Sick leave shall be granted to run consecutive to maternity leave on the basis of a medical certificate.
