National Assembly Officers and the media

(1) Officers are forbidden to be editors of newspapers or to take part in the management of newspapers, directly or indirectly. They may not, without the permission of the Clerk or the Governor-General in the case of the Clerk or the Deputy Clerk, contribute to any newspaper in Belize or elsewhere on questions which may be regarded as party-politics, though they may contribute articles upon subjects of general interest: Provided that the Governor-General or the Committee shall determine whether an article deals with party-politics or not.
