Loss of private property

An Officer may, in a proper case, be compensated for loss or damage to private property sustained through fire, theft, riot, an act of Godor otherwise, in the course of his employment where such property is brought upon the National Assembly premises for the purpose of facilitating the Officer's performance of his duties. In considering whether or not an Officer shall be compensated, the Committee shall satisfy itself as to whether there was negligence on the part of the Officer causing the loss or damage.
