Proceeds of sold vehicle to be used in purchase of new vehicle

An Officer who applies for an advance to purchase a vehicle while any part of a previous advance remains outstanding shall be required to pay the outstanding balance out of the sale proceeds of the sold vehicle, use the remainder, if any, of the sale proceeds in the purchase of the new vehicle and shall be granted an advance of the balance only.
