Retirement on medical grounds

(1) In cases of retirement on the grounds of ill-health, the recommendation of a Medical Board appointed by the Director of Health Services comprising of not less than two Medical Officers (one of whom shall be a specialist) shall be submitted. The report shall state clearly that the Officer is incapable by reason of an infirmity of mind or body of discharging the duties of his office efficiently and that such infirmity is likely to be permanent. (2) If the Committee is satisfied with the medical advice given it shall approve the retirement of the Officer on such National Assembly Staff 77
