Procedure on retirement

(1) Subject to section 9 (6) of the Act, all Officers shall retire on reaching the compulsory retirement age of fifty years. In the month of January each year, the Clerk shall send to the Committee a return showing the names of all Officers who will attain the age of forty-nine during the year, together with their dates of birth. After the submission of these returns, the Committee shall inform the Clerk of the approval for the retirement of the Officer concerned. (2) The Clerk shall prepare the claim for pension, gratuities and other retiring allowances on the prescribed form and submit it to the Accountant General for computation without delay.
