Functions of Committees

(1) It shall be the duty of the Education Committee to recommend to the Council, (a) the establishment of Examination Standards, develop Syllabi and Training Programmes for refrigeration and air conditioning technicians in Belize; (b) the recognition of any examination in refrigeration and air conditioning the passing of which ought, in the opinion of the Committee, to qualify persons for licensing under this Act; (c) the holding of any examination in refrigeration and air conditioning which ought, in the opinion of the Committee, to be passed by applicants for licensing under this Act, and (Licensing) 13 to hold examinations in refrigeration and air conditioning in accordance with this Act and any Regulations made under this Act. (2) It shall be the duty of the Legislation Committee to develop By- Laws and Regulations for approval by the Council and the Association in accordance with this Act and any Regulation or By-Laws made under this Act. (3) It shall be the duty of the Standards Committee to develop, establish, implement and update minimum standards, industry guidelines and criteria for the refrigeration and air conditioning sector in Belize.
