Intransit shipments of ammunition

(1) The procedures to be observed where any ammunition is intransiting or is to intransit through Belize are as follows– (a) the Ministry shall issue an Intransit Shipment Authorization Certificate to the relevant applicant; (b) the applicant shall, prior to the issue of the Certificate under paragraph (a) above, supply the following documents to the Ministry– (i) an original or certified copy of the Import Certificate issued by the country of final destination of the shipment; (ii) an original or certified copy of the Export and export attachment document relating to the (c) the person to whom an Intransit Shipment Authorization Certificate is issued pursuant to paragraph (a) above shall provide that certificate or a certified copy thereof to the exporter for presentation to the verifying agency of the country of export; (d) the Ministry shall permit the intransit passage of the shipment upon confirming that the Firearms Act 17 contents of the shipment and the identity of the shipper are in conformity with the information specified in the Import Certificate, Export Certificate, export attachment document and Intransit Authorisation Certificate. and Authorisations
