Importation of ammunition into Belize

(1) The procedures to be observed when importing any ammunition into Belize are as follows– (a) the Ministry shall issue an Import Certificate to any applicant who– (i) meets the applicable legal requirements under the Act and any other relevant laws of Belize; (ii) supplies the original or a copy of the Import Certificate to the exporter for presentation to the authorising agency in the exporter’s country; (b) the authorised representative of the importer or final recipient shall present the ammunition, the Import Certificate, Export Certificate and 16 Firearms Act export attachment, or certified copies thereof, to the Ministry, and upon verification by the Ministry, the shipment shall be released to the person who satisfies the Ministry that he is the authorised representative of the shipper or final recipient. (2) The Import Certificate shall be as set out in Form 7 of the Schedule hereto.
