Central Information Office

(1) The Ministry shall be the Central Information Office for the purpose of receiving and fulfilling information requests from other Member States of the Organisation of American States relating to the importation into, exportation from, and intransiting through Belize of any shipment transactions of firearms, firearms parts, components and/or ammunition. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1) above, the Ministry shall be responsible for confirming to other Member States of the Organization of American States named in any certificate, attachment or authorisation, upon request, information relating to shipments entering into, or exiting from, designated ports within Belize.
