Forfeiture and restoration

(1) A recipient of the Medal or Clasp who is convicted of a criminal offence or is dismissed or removed from the Fire Service for misconduct shall forfeit the Medal or Clasp unless the Governor-General shall otherwise direct. (2) A Medal or Clasp so forfeited may be restored to the recipient by the Governor-General at his discretion. (3) A notice of forfeiture or restoration shall in every case be published in the Government Gazette.
