Interviews, visits to sick

(1) Every chaplain shall– (a) see every prisoner recorded as belonging to that minister's denomination as the case may be, as soon as possible after the prisoner's reception, a short time before his discharge and from time to time as often as practicable during his imprisonment; and 46 (b) if no other arrangements are made, read the burial service at the funeral of such a prisoner dying in the prison. (2) Every chaplain shall visit prisoners recorded as belonging to that minister's denomination who are– (a) sick; (b) undergoing cellular confinement; or (c) on a capital charge or under sentence of death.
