Final interview with Medical Officer

(1) Every prisoner shall in as short a time as is practicable before discharge or removal to another prison, be examined by the Medical Officer. (2) A prisoner shall not be removed to another prison unless the Medical Officer certifies that he is fit for removal. (3) A prisoner due for discharge who is suffering from an acute or dangerous illness shall, unless he refuses to stay, not be sent out of prison until in the opinion of the Medical Officer it is safe to send him out.
