Interpretation

(1) In these Rules“Act” means the Prisons Act; “Chaplain” means a person permitted by the Minister to hold religious services in accordance with these Rules; “legal adviser” means, in relation to a prisoner, the prisoner’s Attorney- at-Law; “prison” means any place appointed as a prison under the Act; “prison officer” means an officer or servant of a prison; “Superintendent” means the Superintendent of Prisons appointed under section 4 of the Act. (2) The First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Schedules of these Rules shall form part of these Rules. 22
