Inspections

(1) The Medical Officer shall once monthly inspect every part of the prison and shall advise the Superintendent upon the hygiene of the prison and the prisoners, including arrangements for cleanliness, sanitation, lighting and ventilation. (2) The Medical Officer shall frequently inspect the food, cooked and uncooked, provided for prisoners and shall report to the Superintendent on the state and quality of the food and on any deficiency in the quantity or defect in the quality of the water. 53
