Prison officers not to be sued

No amount shall be recovered in any court from any prison officer by any person on account of anything purchased or taken upon credit at any store or shop whilst employed as a Prison officer otherwise than in accordance with rules and regulations made under this Act, and the judge or judicial officer presiding over or in any court shall take judicial notice of this section, whether or not pleaded or raised in objection by such prison officer.
